Pushkar lake or Pushkar sarovar is a sacred lake of Hindus in which dipping in is believed to cleanse sins and cure skin related diseases. At the time when Pushkar fair is held, pilgrims in large numbers are gathered to take a sacred bath in the lake. The lake is surrounded by 52 bathing Ghats where pilgrims are used to take bath. Pushkar lake is related with the mythology of Brahma, the God of creation.
